Dreams can come true!

I have taken my love of reading to children for over 20 years as a childcare provider, and turned that wonderful knowledge & experience into coauthoring a children's book: Finding Your Way

Kellie Ingram enjoys working with children, and has devoted 20 years of her life to working with youth in several positions, including preschool teacher, home daycare director, and director of religious education. Kellie was born and raised in New Mexico, where she and her husband met as teenagers. After traveling through the US while he served in the military, the family of six has settled in the Southwest desert they love. She is the co-author of the brand-new Finding Your Way (Growing Up Resilient #2).

Speaking Engagements and School Presentations:

I began reading in school's as a parent over 20 years ago during Literacy Week. I have taken that passion and turned it into a commitment. Reading a classroom, can be much like reading a book. Understanding when to pause for excitement, raise and whisper my voice, or simply add a silly sound to the story, is a gift that I pride myself on. I thoroughly enjoy encouraging and watching youth experience a book in ways they had done not before. I have spent that last couple of years (like many of us) adjusting to reading online as the pandemic shutdown classrooms and bookstores. I have found that bringing even more passion into a reading may be needed to hold youth's attention to a screen!
